Can U Paint A Car In Parts???
I Want To Repaint My Car While Its Taken Apart And Was Wondering If I Could Paint It In Parts
Like Take My Bumper In This Month And Paint And Next Month Take My Fenders In Then My Doors And Side Skirts Then The Month Afer That My Trunk Then Month After That The Rear Bumper Then When Car Is Drivable Again Take It In And Have Them Do Top And Rear Fender Area?
Can I Do that?
Bumpers And Side Skirts Will Be Black
Fenders, Doors And Trunk Will Be Red
Hood Was Just Painted So Not Painting It

Also How Much Will It Cost For Each Thing Or All Together

Was Gonna Lose The Bra And Go Black Bumpers And Side Skirts And Scoops On Side, Maybe Door Handles And Black Trim Around Plate Area On Trunk
You Didnt Say Anything About Painting In Parts Will The Colors Match Up I Will Be Going To Same Shop That Painted Hood They Have Me On File With My Color Code

A good shop would make sure the color matches even if painted at stages but can be tricky so better buy all the paint NOW, dont buy it on stages, minor variations occur if the color is not pure (mix of tints)

Dont expose the parts to sunlight since it degrades the color a bit. Dont polish or wax the parts, wait untill final assembly takes place.

Also store them where they dont get damaged, or you will pay extra to fix them.

if you get them all done at once it will be cheaper than a part at a time, so you will be better off just saving money and just taking them all in

was looking to save on labor taking parts off and stuff
plus rather do it while apart be easier i cant afford all at once thats why was gonna paint 1 thing at a time
