lol i know you all just love my tech term for gunk but yeah no matter how hard i scrub or how many times i wash it, my paint always looks like it has a light layer of dust on it..like particulates...mostly arround the rear of the car...I've heard of these clay bars but have no clue what they are or how they work...anybody care to clue me in?

Could be tree sap, use a Clay bar, buy from Mothers or Meguiars.
The clay bar is something like a bar of soap, you use a lubricant to slide the bar over the surface. The particles will then cling to the bar.
