You will need to drill out spot welds from the factory(but besure to only drill half way through, you don't want any holes),after ofcourse you remove taillights, bumperetc. If you look closely you will see how everthing is spot welded together. If you using 1/4 Skin panels, you will need to cut about 2-3inhes from the top body line,I have seen many cut it tooo close and sometimes ontop, and it is ALOT harder to hide the body work when finished. Another thing you will be faced with is if your wheel well houses are good or not,if they are depending on how bad, you can metal patch them,or order new ones,to replace them you will need to take back interior apart. For the skin panel Leave door and trunk lid ON so you can alighn new panel correctly, then drill holes where spot welds go, grind all spots that will be welded, adjust and clamp it into position and start welding. In my experience with aftermarket panels,I have seen some that fit right on and some that I had to seriously customize, and I have seen them come in different thicknesses,so be sure when you weld that the heat is not set to high, other wise you will get warpage. When you do the body work ,Don't put bondo on first, put a filler on that has metal particals in it over your seams and welds( I like to use a product called All Metal), this will prevent any cracking of any bondo you may put on. Boy it seems like it takes longer for me to write this than physically doing it.LOL
