Question Brand new 3 stage paint--2 questions

1.) How soon can it be polished?
(Any precautions appreciated)

2.) Will it harm the paint at all, by covering it?
(I have a brand new WOLF custom fit cover with "NOAH" material---top of the line)...it's an outside car.

Paint is Chrome Yellow w/Gold Pearl over it...94 Mustang GT

Wait at least 1 month for the first polish/wax.

A cover will not harm your paint. Just make sure the car is relatively clean when the cover goes on.

Beautiful car. I like the chrome bullits and that hood. Looks fast standing still.

Thanks! I appreciate it.

Just as an FYI on my paint question...The general consensus seems to be that the car should NOT be covered for a few months...especially since it's an outside car. Supposedly, the snow and rain can cause the new paint to stain if left covered...
This came from several sources, including the painter himself.

Default WAX

You can polish it with a wax that does NOT have silicon in it. I have been working in/around a body shop for 20 years. I have heard it forever. But you can wax it with wax with silicon about 6 months after.

Listen to what your painter told you and if you have any questions call and ask him. Thats what I'd do.

yea 3 stage paints are cool i did a 3 stage pearl on the top of my dads 66 galaxie. reflects purple in the sun off the white top. as for waxing the car really depends on what it was painted with. id let it cure up for a little while. i dont care if someone gets on here and says they have worked in a body shop for 100 years. really depends on what kinda paint was put on the car. now days they have paint like this dupont clear that i just used not to long ago that is super fast production so you can reassemble and decal the car like 3 hours after you paint it. Id let the car cure for awhile at least a week or so and if its in the sunlight you figure it will cure faster i doubt you will have a problem with wax on it.
