Default New paint jobs biggest threat! Rock chips!!

Well, for those of you that dont know my story, im still in the market for a replacement OEM hood, until i can afford an aftermarket replacement, and the following paint job too it.

I found a perfect match, except its covered in rock chips obviously just on the front lip area..
The guy is selling the hood for only 90 bucks, which is like 60 american i think.. somewhere around there anyway.

But im wondering if it will be hard to remove somehow, or else just cover up some of the really bad chips??
Is this possible??

Thanks for any help.

Depending on how well the rest of your car looks , you can just have the hood painted and thats it . ( only if it is a black car )

Thats the only way to get out the rock chips

Go ahead and just get it repainted. If there was a way to get rid of paint chips, we wouldn't have any.

Triple your regular following distances and rock chips suddenly aren't a problem.

oh man the answers you got were great i like the one change your following distance and it will prevent rock chips. lol that one was great. yea just get the hood painted over again. if you dont want it to chip then paint it will imron paint its great for deflecting stuff like that it drys from the inside out. and its weird the way its made but you could probably paint your front end with imron and i could throw a hand full of stones at it and it will deflect off other then that anything else will probably chip evetually. get the concept thru your head nothing will stay perfect if you drive it on the street something will either tear it up or someone else will tear it up for you like rocks or door ding happy people.

For the time being, you could buy the hood and a bra, then you wont see the chips.
