I've seen a couple Gt's where the "Mustang" lettering on the ground effects panels has been painted a contrasting color. I kinda like it.
Do you suppose they were just handpainted ? The edges of the embossed letters do not look like they are sharply enough defined to make this an easy task.
Or is there a paint masking kit out there ? Or decals ?
I did a www search under "Mustang decals" (duh....do i feel like a dope for not just doing this in the beginning) and found several vendors. In the end I ordered some from Quality Mustang.
I just bought the touch up paint in my body color(emerald green) and used a little masking tape to make sure i didnt make a mess and i think it looks cool with the grey contrast. It was easy to do since the lettering is sunk in.

Heh heh.....anything to do with hand painting I'd screw up for sure ! I'd end up with paint all over the place except where's it's supposed to be. Thanks, though, for taking the time to reply.
The first set of decasl I got, by the way, have already started coming off. Since they came without instructions I'm not sure if it was a product problem or an installer problem !
I just got antoher set (for about 1/3 the price of the first) from another supplier which *appear* to be much higher grade and they came with very good instrcutions. We'll see what happens.....
Both are advertised in MM & FF magazine. Most ford dealerships sell them, but they are generally more expensive that way.
I ordered my decals through BobWhiteDecals.com. Excellent decals, and incredible customer service. I will definitely buy more from him once I get the funds.
