Has anyone here removed the amber corner from one of the 'non-smoked' 2000 mustang? I would really like the clear look on my car, but those healight sets off ebay are way too expensive. If any one has info that would help me remove the amber from the signal corner of my healight, it would be much appreciated.
Oooooh! Also, is it possible to get me healights tinted? Clear and dark would be better?
thanks for any help
-John

It's been done before. http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/ctips.htm. About halfway down. They took a Dremel tool and opened up the sealed headlamp assembly, then sealed it back up with JB Weld. I wish it was simpler. I'm sure I'll mess it up and have a leaky light.

Yes, you can buy smoke color headlamps which are stock on cobra's. I can't remember the website, but look around and you should find a pair for only around $220. Most places including Ford dealership sell them for about $220 a piece.
