Default Cann't lock my hood!!!

Hey, guy, I think I messed up my hood latch.
I have a 2000 Mustang V6.
Two days ago, I tried to popped up my hood. I pulled the hood release lever inside the car. But it wouldn't pop up. I know it is all rusted. So, I pulled it real hard. It was unlocked. But after I that, I cann't lock it back now. I mean I can close the hood. But it just won't get locked. Anybody here have a same problem? and how to fix it?

sounds like the hood latch cable is probably rusted and froze up or pinched . Either way it would need replaced . Just get a new cable . Should be a pretty simple fix . good luck

try some carb cleaner and stuff, take the hood assembly off.. clean it from rust, if too badly damaged, replace it.. check cables as reported above

I know I'm probably stating the obvious, but you'll want to replace/repair the cable before you get the latch mechanism fixed. Squirt some penetrating oil on the latch mechanism and then slather some white lithium grease on the pivot point to loosen it up.
