My 94 Gt has grey/black interior and I want to go all black. I saw some paint or dye (whichever it is) in 50resto and wondered how well it worked. Can this be used on leather? I would rather know before ruining anything.

im not sure how well the dye works, but i DEFINITELY wouldn't try it on leather!

I have the same interior. It is hard to decide what accents to do. I wouldn't dye the leather though.
But if you paint the rest black let us see it when you are done.
When I paint my accents grey, instead of the chrome I wanted to do, I am going to put them up.
silver, believe it or not, primer gray is a pretty close match to the gray in your car. (i thin i used krylon when i did my GT). just spray some semi gloss clear over the pieces if you want the shine. besides primer will scratch very easily.

Center section, that way there is a black trim around it.
And maybe the Gage area, not sure if I will do that. If I get the 35th anniversary bezel, then it will be too much grey in that area. But if I don't it should balance the grey on both sides. Never understood why passenger console was grey and driver was black?
which center section are you talking about? the console or the trim around the radio and a/c controls? what gauge area are you referring to? the bezel behint the clear plastic or the black trim by the defrost buton and headlight switch?

In the center, the trim piece, yes. That will leave a black line that goes down and around.
And for the gage area, yes the one with the headlamp switch and defrost.
I think if I get the 35th ann gage bezel done, it will be too much grey in that area, and I have to look at that a lot!
Still trying to find a good gage face I like. debating between indiglo or just regular white face.
I saw the silver faced reverse glow but I am just not sure.
Man my wife is right, I can't make a decision to save my life. I always over analyze things.
I did get pain for my steering wheel pony and the one on my center caps.
im not sure, but i always liked the aluminumtrim ring around the white gauges, like i have had in my last 2 stangs. just be careful you dont overdue it with painting the interior. you don't want to be "overwhelmed" with painted pieces. i think i'm just on the edge of going overboard. my interior is pretty much done. but i did win some nice headrests on e bay those still need to go in there when i receive them, too.

Yeah I like the alum trim gage rings. Might do those with the white gages.
Leave the bezel black, get it all cleaned up (it has a ton of scratches) and pain those other 2 pieces grey.
Out of money for modding, just bought a 30" LCD TV from Mitsubishi, 3K.
Can't wait to put it on the wall.
The paint I want to use is far from Krylon. A guy I know runs a body shop and he used some of this type of paint on his custom hot rod. This paint is around $35-$40 a pint. You use a special cleaner then a primer then paint it. He called the company that supplies it and they told him it is designed to use with all plastics, vinyls, and leathers. We then asked him about leather seats and he said that they have people use it on that and have had no problems. You can get this paint in just about any color.

well, i figured you weren't going to use krylon. but i still wouldn't recommend spraying your leather seats with dye.
