Default T-Top Doors on a Hatchback

I recently purchased a parts car that is a t-top. I was thinking that since the doors are in suc nice condition compared to the ones on my car, I would see about swaping them around. I know that there is going to be a differance in the door to body weatherstips and the t-top glass weather strip will be missing. The thought is that I can some how attach the weather strip that would be on the glass to the body of my car. The thought came to me as I was riding in my friends 95. As I entered/exited the car and was thinking how much I liked the doors with no upper frame. Is there anyone else out there that has had this thought and maybe anyone that has tried it with success?
