Cool

Hey I'm in the same situation as u are. But only my fender is bent. I called State Farm and they said my deductable would be 250. I told them i got an unpainted fender from EBAY for 50 bucks and shipping was another 50. So now it's just a matter of painting it and getting it on there.

Just don't make them like they used to, 'eh?

Back in the day, I drove a '66 Rambler Classic. It's front bumper could pull a Mack truck with your shoe string. And it wrapped around the fender like a mean push car.

Well, one day I was in a hurry (when ain't I?) and backed outa the garage too fast. That bumper grabbed the door frame and pulled the entire corner of the garage off the foundation!

The car didn't even flinch. No damage whatsoever. But, my pride (and body parts) suffered for weeks after dad surveyed the damage to his garage.

Sorry to hear that man. I took out both my parents cars that way. I was in my moms Trans Am( late for school and my brother was taking his sweet time getting in the car) . I backed up the drive way w/o looking and heard nothing but metal on metal. I hit my dads sweet 63 Chevy Truck with the rear right corner of the TA so hard it brought the rest of the passenger side into the truck. Wiped out the TA from the door forward ( no 1/4 panel damage I was surprised) All the truck suffered was some scratches in the paint.

Ebay was my best friend for the TA as far as the truck goes well Auto Color along with PPG were my best friends.

Back in the '80s when I was in college, we were young and dumb and full of
alcohol, my buddy had an '81 or so Capri. The battery was cooked and the car
had to be bump started. Dude was parked at the lefthand curb on a one way
street. He decided to bump start it in reverse - only thing wrong was that
there was a street sign just behind the car - it hooked the door, and you know
the rest of the story...
