It doesn't mean it will be good or last .

ditto. it will look like absolute crap, but yes, you can do it. but i definitely wouldn't advise it

if you do and ver want to get it repainted in the correct way you will have to stip it of that rustolem completely or the painter will kill you, that is an oil based paint that solvent based paint will turn to cottage chese when sprayed on

I have a 91 hatch that I sprayed the fenders rustoleum "Safety Red" damn color looks so good (well for red anyway) I may custom mix a red to match it . It looks much better than the" bright red " ford sprayed on it. It does need colorsanding and polishing but its been on there for half a year and no more rust(i did do a sand/rust converter, 2 coats primer wetsanded between and 2 coats of color.)
