Default 68 dash paint removal

hi i have a 68 coupe with a standard turquiose interior that someone redid black except for the metal on the doors and dash which is silver??? lol i want to get rid of it and paint it black but was wondering if i should just sand it or use paint stripper? i'm not sure but i think the doors have the crinkle finish to the metal? the silver is on pretty thick i'm thinkin. i'd like to have the turquiose back but i think he redid the seats and did the headliner so i'll stay black. thank you

All you need to do is cut the paint finish enough to allow a re-coating. Sanding isn't necessary here (different for the outside). You won't be LOL if you forget to be extremely careful not to get your laquer thinner on the outside skin of the doors......and please don't forget about adequate ventilation. Lost brain cells don't help the enjoyment factor after the job is done.

I concur, too many colors detract from the overall appearance. I'd vote for the turquiose, but I lub OEM and stocker looks, specially on the classics. 'Cides, its winter; what else have you got to do but paint ALL of the interior?
