wash/cleaner/polish/wax

What color?
What products you will use?

My recomendation, 3M or Zaino, Meguiars is not that bad for regular maintenance, i like their X polish/swirl remover, nice for dark colors.

My wax of choice is 3Ms, lasts more than Meguiars or even Mothers.
Also regularly use 3M's spray detailer.

My daughter has a black '00. Went to my paint & body guy about a problem on the finish last month. He highly recommends WIZARD'S SHINE MASTER to remove those swirls. It cost me almost $13 for a pint.

By the way, it did just fine to remove permanent magic marker from the rear deck. Haven't tried it for swirls.....but that's what the paint/body guy said it was best for.

Also, never heard of a problem mixing and matching various brands. Of course, if you ask the manufacturers, they will all tell you not to mix.....duh, they want sales for their product only.
