O.K. what do you all reccommend and what is the difference between polished and chrome? Also, how does each hold up over time and how hard is each to keep clean?
Any info would be great.

I'm lazy, so silver painted is my personal choice. Also, since I'm an old guy, I find myself liking less "flash" these days. But, that's just a personal preference thing.

Chrome is pretty easy to take care of but a chrome-plated alloy wheel is somewhat more likely to peel as the years go by.

Polished wheels are nothing but agony, in my opinion ....but many of them are clear-coated so all you have to do is wash them.
