Default Hood Pins = Yuck any suggestions?

I just got my hood painted and fitted "1.5 fiberglass cowl" looks awesome, and now I hear all the horror stories of fiberglass hoods popping open while racing. Yes it has the metal plates inlaid in the glass for support and what not but I talked to the manufacturer and because of the twisting motion of drag racing they would recommend pins to be on the safe side. I really dont want pins and plates poking thru my hood, I like my car clean and simple yet effective. Does anyone have a good suggestion to help me out or if need be an opinion of the best and least noticeable pins on the market?
