Default How to fix small "scuff" on red clearcoat??

Hey all, I've got a torch red 05 GT. A couple of weeks ago found some bird crap on the roof and washed it off with a rag that unfortunately left a swirly "scuff" mark in the clearcoat paint. There are no scratches whatsoever but in the right light conditions it's pretty easy to see the scuff.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to paint or restoration, anyone have recommendations on how I can remove this scuff mark easily with a certain product or application?

THANKS!

Go to your auto parts store and pick up a product called Clay Magic. Follow the directions. The clay bar will remove anything that's stuck in the clearcoat like bird doo, paint scuffs (from getting too close to the garage door frame), key scratches, road debris on the running boards, etc.
When you're done using it, follow up with a wax.

If you don't have access to a Porter Cable random orbital polisher and the appropriate foam pad + polish, you can safely try Meguiar's Scratch X (by hand).

You can go to www.meguiarsonline.com and search for the threads for properly applying Scratch X. I've removed some pretty awful scuffs, etched bird poop, etc using this product and it really works well (but follow the directions posted to the letter). Following the removal, apply some good quality wax (Meg's NXT, Pinnacle, etc).

Hope this helps.
