Okay so my car was in the garage this weekend. Some people were outside spraying a fence on the side of a garage. The wind blew the paint inside the garage and it got all over my car!!!!!!
It looks like dust all over my car. But it wont come off. it is very small.
A buddy of mine told me to use Brake parts cleaner. and then wipe it off fast then polish and wax.
What are all of your suggestions? I am planing on doing this tonight so any help would be great!
get a 3/4" torque wrench and go visit the neighbors.... DOH! stop the violence... see if you can rent a buffer... usually a good rubbing compound buffed will help... a professional detaill.. $50-$100 though...
Yes a buffer with take off the overspray. If you haver never done this before, then take it to a pro. You might make matters worse if you are not sure exactly how to go about it.
Franks right, if you don't have any expirience, take it to a pro, the last thing you want to do is burn the paint up. 3M makes a really good buffing compound with a really fine grit it that works great on stuff like that if you plan on doing it yourself. LOL

3M Fine scratch remover from any auto store. Its clear coat and paint safe and removes the overspray and webbing in the paint. Apply like wax and wipe off. I have painted several of my cars or had them in and out of shops for custom paint jobs and this has always workd nice to get the overspray off
Why would you not have the people that were outside spraying the fence pay to take care of the over spray that got on your car? After all, the over spary would not be on your car if they would have waited to do this went it was not windy or set up over spray protection. Either way they shoud pay to have a professional remove their error and return your car's paint to the way it was!
Thanks for the idea for the 3M fine Scratch remover. I will have to try this.
The reason I did not have the culprits take care of my car is because I dont trust them with it. I told them it either goes to a body shop or I will do it myself. I really did not want other people messing up my car.
I would go with the "3/4" torque wrench and go visit the neighbors" idea, only because I understand your frustration. Where I used to live we had neighbors from ****...literally. Not only did they get paintball on our fences and cars, but they spray painted their own HOUSE and got the spray "dust" on my car. I was outraged. Took it to a detailer and they compounded and waxed it. All is well now! Except for an area of peeling paint on my bumper, but that gets repainted in a few weeks.
I agree.....claybar works great then charge the idiot next door after getting 2-3 estimates a fair price. If a wax job costs around 60-100$ depending on the place then Im shure you are looking at at least 200$ -300$ to fix and then rewax.
I would charge them cause its not fun and gonna take you a day or so to do
Easiest way is homeowners insurance, if you've got it . .. turn it in to your insurance company, and let them decide what to do with it . .. Maybe you'll get a new paint job out if it, but probably not . . .
