Has anyone taken a car to MAACO and had decent results? I don't mean the $249.00 special they advertise on TV, but their premium service. I'm just wondering if they're worth considering for some minor dent removal, repainting and touch-up painting on my '97 convertible. Most of the body shops in the area where I live only do insurance repairs.

before you take to MAACO asked them what is there method of dent removal. As for the spot paint repair ask them how will they match the paint on your car. I was in the automotive refinish field for 5 years. Every car may appear to be the same color but they are not.

Just be aware of hacks in the automotive refinish industry. You get what you pay for

If you take it for dent removal and dont get the whole car painted check and see how they blend the base and clear. Make sure they blend the base in an area large enough to make the color match. A skilled painter can do this even if the paint is mixed a hair off color. With the clear DO NOT let them blend it. Make them clear the whole panel or surrounding panels if the base blend was to close to adjacent panels. Blending clear is only asking for trouble in the long run. You may not notice it for a year or two but where the clear was blended it will eventually come out looking dull and half a**ed.
