Default 86 Tail light replacement

I was wonder how to get to the bolts holding the tail light assy down without rippign the carpet up or breaking all the clips. I'm stumped!

It's a coupe. The carpet right behind the tail lights in the trunk are only clipped on, and the clips only break when I try to pry them off. It's startin to frustrate me! lol

is it a clip or a pin? a clip is screwed in, a pin holds it in place

It's a pin: just gotta push it through the hole in the body and it stays in pretty good. I'm thinking of just finding a new set and pulling all the ones that are in now out.

NM, just gotta pull the middle of the pins out...DUH! lol. Tail lights are now replaced and working!
