youll have to get dirty, but try rubbing them with a soft cloth!! use some soap and water and use the soft cloth to rub them, then rinse off with water, then apply a chrome polish with a cloth, then remove the polish after it dries with a chamois....im sorry, but you cant clean things well with those spray on and rinse cleaners. it the sdame for washing your car too, you cant go to the drive through car wash and expect a show quality cleaning.

Turtle Wax Chrome Polish!!!! USE IT! Live by it! Love it! Caress it! It is your best friend!
I use that stuff on my pipes and my dad Durango R/T's chrome rims.

Talking Chrome Wheel Cleaner

This is going to sound stupid, but it works. I cleaned four very badly rusted chrome rims using this method. You can do it with the rims on the car or off, but it's better if they're off. Take a good rim cleaner that's specifically for brake dust build-up. I use Westley's. Spray the rim down thoroughly and let sit for about 5 minutes. Then take a piece of steel wool and scrub the rust off the chrome. I know this sounds crazy, but the wet steal wool won't damage the chrome if they're good wheels and the chrome finish isn't pealing off the rims. Rinse the rim often with water and re-apply rim cleaner as needed. It took me about 45 minutes a rim and a lot of steel wool. Once you get the rust off and the rim is dry, wax and polish the rim to protect it from re-rusting. If you have any questions, emmail me at afk9cop@aol.com.

You can get some stuff called Blue Magic comes in paste or liquid form at KMARTfor abou $4.00 Does wonders on rust Takeabout 45-1hr per rim. Works real well on rust. Thought I was gonna have to get new rims when I bought my stang.
