Default Cleanin The 05 Mustang?

I usually clean my 2005 V6 Mustang Convertable once a week. Even after cleaning and scrub the car for a good hour and a half, it dries and sometime leaves black spots or some little dust areas that i know i scrubbed clean. does anybody have any suggestions on what cleaners i should use and how i should clean this car? I hope this isnt just me having this problem, because i feel like a complete idiot for asking this question. Please someone help me out.

I am talking about the exterior minus the convertable top. All of the painted Mustang Exterior.

Caladius,

I'm a little curious about all this scrubbing... are you working in the hot sun? Also, what kind of soap, wash mitt, towels and technique are you using?

yea really we have to know what your doing and using to really pinpoint whats goin on. If the car is black it sucks. Dont matter how good you wash it about 10 mins later you will see dust fall on it. Go to a body shop supply store get 3M products such as there rubbing compounds, waxes or finishing glazes. You can use these by hand or machine they have differnet ones so ask for what application you need. Should make your ride gleam like it was new when your done with the 3M stuff.

Well its not too hot in february maybe 60 degrees highest. I use Blue Coral Car Wash 2000 (Got it from Autozone) I have a standard Washmitt no name brand. Nothing more besides using Windex on the windows but the windows are fine. 3M cleaner will work best? or should i try covering up the car after i wash it to avoid the dust spots?

Not much for technique just wiping spots i know are dirty alot. im not a car expert, so anything is helpful to me right now

Meguires makes a product called final detail. Its a spray mist that works awesome for when you want to wipe down a car that is really clean and also for after you wash. Try it im sure it will work well. TEETO.

I use that pretty regularly and it works good.

What are you doing for drying?

And when was the last time you waxed it? Clayed it? What's the paint condition? Does it sit outside?

i would have to say that 3m probably makes some of the best detailing products. But im not knocking Meguires products they are good too. But they seem to want to sell you 20 different things to do the job. Like there step process stuff. Go get some real like bodyshop detailing stuff like 3m and it will be worth your time and money.
