Default Removing Side Moldings

I'd like to remove the side moldings on my 03 V6 and I need to know how. I've heard a few different things like use a hair dryer and fishing line??

Is there a really easy way to take them off and once they're off, will there be alot of surface damage under them or will it be a quick polish job??

I'd like to be able to take them off as soon as possible, so I'd like as much feedback as possible, thanks!

They should be attached by adhesive...so using fishing line would seem to work. Then after they are off, you will probably have some left over adhesive to take off the paint.
