Default Perm paint coating-yes or no..HELP!

I wasn't able to find info on this anywhere, (although Ford sold me this package)...it comes with leather conditioning, undercoating (both good) and a coating that goes over the clear coat (which is in question). My car is getting ready to have this done (it is very difficult to not run over and save her), is the paint coating a good idea (you know the salesmen tout this as the best thing since sliced bread, and you can't really trust them)?

Thanks =)

BTW, kudos. Great site!!

I'm a lil jaded. But it sounds like they want to wax your car.

I think it is a perm coating over the clear coat...I cancelled it Friend of mine has it on his car, and it IS peeling (looks like *badwordhere*).

*the assured me this wouldn't peel...lies

I'll give you some inside info as I work in a dealership. All it is (paint protection) is a coat of wax. You can do this yourself. Actually you should do it twice a year for year round protection. Save your cash for later.

ZAINO makes oen of the best non-organic waxes around.

It lasts much longer than most carnuba waxes, wont peel, can apply in the sun and it is 100% compatible with clear coat or regular enamel/acrylic paints.

The more coats of ZAINO you apply the better it looks.
