I have an 04 GT with the big side scoops just infront of my rear tires. A girl at my work has either an 01 or 02 V-6 mustang and I noticed her side scoops are much smaller than mine, they do stick out as much and look more sleek. I'm wondering if I can get a set of those and put them on my car easily? Has anyone done this or know what I'm talking about? I'm worried that if I can get mine scoops off, that the fender underneath will not be painted and since the new scoop is smaller, I'll have to paint the rear 1/4 fender and I'm just not going to do that. Any info would be appreciated.

The sidescoops for the 99-04's are interchangeable. No painting required.
The V6 scoops are the same size as the GT scoops, but the V6 scoops are just made to look different. The same goes for the Bullit scoops and Saleen scoops.
