I would definatly consider using the TWax ice product, but I wonder how long it "truly" lasts, AND how well it repels dirt (i.e. when it rains)
i got caught in the pouring rain one time in my stang and all but the back looked as though it had just been washed when I "checked out the damage" the next morning. I'm sold on Zaino.

If you guys want to get serious about making your baby shine like brand new and you don't mind a little elbow grease and about a half days work you need to look into the Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit. The kit comes with a non-abrasive clay bar that's clear coat safe, cleaner wax and Supreme shine. The clay bar rips out all the nastiness from the actual pores in your clear coat. All environmental fallout, overspray, dirt and grime. It then helps in the waxing process. When you're done you won't believe what your Stang looks like. Like I said, it's a little bit of work because once you're done with the clay bar you have to wax the car.
The one trick the auto detailer at my shop showed me was that he took a cellophane wrapper off a cigarette pack and had me put my fingers in it and run it over the paint on my car (that I had just washed). You can feel the little imperfections in the clear coat. After the clay kit, smooth as a baby's bottom.

Chico - What you have said is true BUT, I would not recommend a cleaner wax for a car with perfect paint. (once clayed, of course) Cleaner waxes tend to have a small amount of "grit" even though you can't feel it. But if you like it, that's all that really matters.

Good point, I have about a half a bottles worth of Meguiars Gold Class left. I'll try that when I clay my car again this fall.

i use Zbest wax you can only order it offline and it works great on my paint, rims, windows, exhaust tips. i have plenty of pics on my profile in the gallery the ones where the car is in the grass is a fresh wax job i did take a look and tell me what you think. i get tons of compliments
Thanks for the comps, yes the stripes are painted on.Closest i could get to the medium parchment interior, real close! Didnt want the edge catching wax so hence the painted .cleared stripes. Not even a bump, slick job my painter done on it.Heres the back of it and i didnt go bumper to bumper because with the silver stripes and redfire basecoat if you get a nice deep chip in the front from a rock or something then it would show up like all get out on the silver stripe......and i didnt think it looked good with the backside striped all the way down and not the front so i just stopped em were theyre at.Heres a shot of the backside.Luck to ya on all the choices you have! Brent
That is a beautiful car dude looks great....all shiny and pretty lol

if any of you get the chance plz check out my pics and leave a comment or two. i would really appreciate it. thank you for your time hope you like the wax job on the car
Over the years I've used just about everything. When Meguiar's came out with NXT Tech Wax I bought some and I was really amazed at the deep gloss. I thought I'd found the perfect wax until I was at a local Mustang and Ford Powered Car Show and saw a 2001 Cobra Red Fire. The color and clarity of that car was the best I'd ever seen. I never thought the owner would tell me what wax product he used but he did. He showed me his bottle of Griot's Best of Show Wax and I immediately had to order some. They carry a full line of everything you need to keep your car looking its best. Their prices are a little high but I believe you're buying the best. I do believe in the Clay Bars to get it really clean before you wax. You can check out Griot's at www.griotsgarage.com
zip wax car wash and a clay bar, a good natural shammy, mothers cleaner wax, mothers polish, then mothers pure carnuba. also pick up a bottle of lucas (lucas oil) detail spray (get it at speedco truck lube centers) for the inbetweens. microfiber cloths only
I have a 10 months old ´07 Mustang GT in Torch Red. I have been using Meguiars NXT and it works great but after this time I am beginning to use carnauba wax, I have heard that the best for black, red and yellow colors are "PINNACLE SOUVERAN WAX" and the "VICTORIA CONCOURS WAX (RED)". I´m going to try the Victoria next week so I will tell you some about how it works but as I have heard in other forums it works just amazing !!!!
Do it right the first time, go to a paint supply store ang get
Meguiar's Medallion. If you go to the parts store get Meguiar's
gold class. These are the absolute best waxes you can get.

This is the stuff I've been using. A guy down the street from me with a 71 "show" Camaro turned me on to this stuff. Makes your whole car feel like silk, lasts forever and repels road salt like you wouldn't believe. This stuff is VERY durable. Costs about 12 bucks a pint at my local hardware store. Even makes the black plastic look great!
Been using insulator wax since 2001 ... this wax is the best hands down!!!!
