Default Hazy Headlights.

To all you with hazy and yellow headlights try some castrol super clean. You can get at auto zone for about 4 bucks. Spray some on a clean rag and rub gently then buff with a dry rag. Makes them old lights look new again. Heck of alot cheaper than buying new headlights.

another option for you is to go on ebay and find some new ones!!! the aftermarket ones are fairly cheap. in magazines and stuff they sell for over 200 for the pair. I paid 70 for the headlight and 6 for the pair of corners!

Nothing like resurrecting an old thread....

First thing I'd try is quality Plastic Polish... if it responds, I'd grab a PowerBall Mini and have at it (mask-off the surrounding areas with a low-tack painter's tape).

I've heard about the brake cleaning chemicals, but brake fluid isn't one I'd try.

And as for the lights on evil-bay, be careful of the cheap ones as they may not be oem-quality.

The choice, however, is up to the individual.

I tried a couple things:

I tried the brake-fluid idea. It does not work well.
I tried buying a Headlight-Restorer Kit - It worked Well!
I tried using a low abrasion polishing compound - It worked very well! ( must be low abrasion or it scratches the plastic)

I thought about using 2000 sandpaper- Dont do it. Just dont
I tried using Castrol Super Clean- Worked Well, but not great

So, I made up my own way and it works AWESOME...

All you need is:
A bottle of rubbing alcohol
Very-Low Abrasion Polishing Compound
UV Protective Gel Coating (looks like epoxy)

Wash down the headlights with rubbing alcohol
Using a 1" piece of lint-free towels, rub some PC on there
Continue until the headlight is very hazy
Wipe this down with alcohol
Say, WOW
When you're finished, apply the UV Protective coating so that your headlights don't haze faster...

How about getting a four eyed fox? That might work. Glass lenses dont oxidize
