Question Paint Job Planning

Pardon the newbie questions, but . . . how much should I expect to pay (after body mods -- Cervini) for a first class paint job for my '97 GT Convertible?. No major body fixes necessary, but a fair amount of little nicks and dings. After all is said and done, I'm gonna want to paint the whole thing the original color (Deep Forest Green). Show quality not necessary, just a good paint job I can be proud of.

I would budget at least $3000. But check around with you local shops.

3k around right, but prices can change depending on materials used:

PPG, DUPONT, STANDOX are my #1 choices for paints/fillers/prep. Preferred are Catalyst enamels and Urethanes (great for bumpers but expensive).

Dupont has very good quality enamels and will last a long time for a fair price. PPG is a bit more expensive and STANDOX would be the most expensive brand.

Gt Raptor Dupont is a #1 choose when the come's to paint
job's on a car.Dupont paint will not start to fade for year's
depending on the paint job it self.Dupont will give you a long lasting
shine though.I heard one local shop tell me they would prep
and paint my car for 1500 with Dupont.I think that's a great deal!

My Civic was painted with PPG, and had no problems with it (other than they did a crappy job, but what was right was great looking).
