Question 2001 Mustang V6, Missing The Fender Badges, There Are No Holes?

i recently bought a 2001 mustang v6. it's been repainted before, and the fender badges seem to have been taken off along with the ford badge at the back. there are two holes where the ford badge used to be, but the holes for the side badges seem to have been filled up and painted over. i found one of the fender badges in the car, its the standard horse on top of the red white and blue stripes. i plan on finding the one im missing on ebay. the placement holes are gone though. how should i go about reattaching them? perhaps i could cut off the sticks behind the badge, and just use some adhesive and put it on where i think it should go? is that a bad idea?

go to your nearest ford dealer and get two new badges (they are cheap) and they come with two sided tape. just put them on strait and you are good to go.
