That seems like a tough one.... How about dropping by a local glass place... and see what they say? They might know exactly what to do... be sure to report back to us!!!

188slo50 Try using 0000 steel wool works great . Used it for years and it wont scratch the glass. Just make sure the glass is wet while you use it.

Man if steel wool hasnt worked i dunno what to tell ya. For the paint have you buffed the car recently? I claybar my car 2 weeks ago and have a couple water spots you can see at a certain angle and a little comes up everytime that claybar hits the paint. But sounds like these spots have been on the car for most of its life.

I actually asked the guy at the body shop the other day about this and thats exactly what he first suggested, steel wool. How about a 5lb sledge and then call your insurance? No really!

That is weird that stuff should have taken it off. I have had some imperfections actually in my glass on a truck that I had. Could it be inside of the glass?

Ok man this is what you need to do.I had the same problem with my Stang. It annoyed the crap outta me!I tried everything you tried and none of it worked. There is a company called Spot X.They have a powder that you mix with water to make a paste. It comes with a wool pad.All you have to do is put a little on the pad and scrub the windows one section at the time.It got ALL of them off my cars windows. And the best part is its only like ten bucks!I would highly recommend this product!

i had and still get this problem on my cars and house glass. i say it's acid rain, but that;s a different thread. what i have used pretty successfully is a product called CLR. it is used for removing calcium, lime, and rust, hence the name. i use a sponge to apply and be careful not to get on paint as it will strip wax. some spots are stubborn and i use a razor blade to scrape 'em off. i would suggest tryin this. it canbe found in the cleaning suppply section of most stores.

Default What do you guys use for your windows?

I'm currently using my dad's 20 yr old chamois to get some nice streak free windows but the thing is literally falling apart. I got a new one that seemed like it was nice but it just can't compare. It's good at sopping up all the water off the paint but it doesnt do justice to the windows. So what do you guys use on your windows when you wash your car? And does anyone sell a really good quality old fashioned chamois or am i stuck with doing my best on these new chamois and windshield wipes that I'm yet to try; and from what I've seen windex leaves a film..
