If you guys are tires of paying those outrageous prices for Windex and other off brand window cleaners check this out.
Here is the basic formula for Windex and any off brand ammonia based window cleaner:
Add 1 pint of rubbing alcohol (usually one bottle) to
1/2 cup of ammonia, then
add enough water to make one gallon.
An easy container to use for this is an old milk jug. Just rinse it out and mix right in it. Keep refilling the spray bottle from the jug. Lots cheaper than paying for the real thing.
Of course if you have tinted windows, don't use an ammonia based cleaner on the tint since it will discolor it (usually turns it purple).
For tint use 1/2 cup of white vinegar to a gallon of water.
