No, on the vinegar solution, it's just supposed to be vinegar and water. The vinegar is the cleaner of course, but much milder than ammonia and alcohol. The less harsh stuff you put on your tint, the better. You could probably get away with some alcohol on it, but definitely no ammonia...way too strong for the plastic tint.

I haven't tried the newspaper trick, but I'd heard of it. Thing is, I don't read the paper anymore so I'd have to scare one up...I either get my news from the TV or the internet.

Not at all. You can get both items at the grocery store. A bottle of rubbing alcohol only costs a couple of bucks and about the same amount for a gallon of ammonia. Just pour the whole bottle of alcohol in an empty milk jug, then measure out the 1/2 cup of ammonia and pour it in the jug. Then fill the jug all the way up with tap water. It's an easy mix. No fumes to worry about since the ammonia and alcohol are watered down. Shake it up good and you've got window cleaner.

Not that you would, but just remember to never, ever add bleach to the mix. Ammonia and bleach should never be mixed since you will then get very toxic fumes.

spray it with glass cleaner and then use a razor blade. not a utility blade but a razor blade. should easily come off.

spray the paint on the glass with the g/c then let it sit for 10 seconds and then razor blade it. i do it for some body shops with their painter messes up and doesnt tape the paper on the glass properly

Using window cleaner isn't going to be strong enough. Go get some Naptha at the hardware store or paint store. Naptha is a petroleum distillate and it's what the furniture industry uses for paint overspray on mirrors, etc. Most of the furniture you buy today has a laquer top coat sprayed on it to give it a good shine. I found out about this cleaner a few years ago when I bought a new dresser with a mirror and they had gotten laquer overspray on it. They were going to send a tech to my house to take care of it, but when they told me what they were going to do, I did it myself. The Naptha comes in a can in liquid form and you just put it on the glass with a rag and then use a razor blade to scrape it off...no waiting...no fuss...no muss.
