Default 2006 Mustang Cloth Bucket Seats

I want to change the color - also repair some cloth problems around the
headrest. Problem is,, I can't get the headrest off of the seat???
What's the trick to get the headrest off?? The headrest moves up about 1 1/2" - And absolutely no more?? Big thanks, Larry
Pls send suggestions back to lukeshop@pacbell.net

Default Headrest removal

I recently replaced my cloth seats for leather ones. In order to do that, I had to first remove the seats and then the headrests. At the base of the headrest posts, are plastic bases. On one side of the plastic base, you will see a button release. On the other side of each base is a small hole. You will need either a paperclip or a very small Allen wrench. Poke it in there and pull up on the headrest. It will release and come right off.
