i use the maguiers color rx wax, maguiers leather cond. and cleaner ,black magic interior protectant, turtle wax ice for my ext. plastics.black magic tire shine.
Off the counter I like Black Magic products, Turtle Wax car wash and Mothers brand of products are good. Use Microfiber wash mits and towels on your car. NO COTTON towels or rags except for non painted areas and in the engine compartment.
I a testing out 3 brands of polish. Mothers-Syn Wax, Meguirs NXT, and Turtle Wax Ice.
I use Meguires show and shine when I wash it, and Meguires Tech Wax when I wax it. I use black Magic projects on the rims and tires. I like my syetem of cleaning, all the producs I use are long lasted and give a great final result.

I like turtlewax ice because you can put it on the trim, that alone saves a ton of time. I have use both the paste and the liquid. The paste lasts longer and the liquid is a fast quick shine.

I have been using Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Polish on the exterior and the stuff is fabulous. In between I use Turtle Wax Ice Quick Detailer or Griot's Garage Speed Shine (really nice stuff, I've been told people have seen this stuff a lot at car shows).
I use Meguiars Quik Wheel Detailer on my rims because it's spray on and wipe off, no hosing off needed. Turtle Wax tire shine stuff (don't remember the exact name). Meguiars Leather Conditioner.
MakeMyStang, who's car always has a superb shine, says he uses the TW Ice Liquid Polish and then a couple of days later finishes it off with Meguiars NXT Tech Wax. Next time I do mine I am going to try that as well.
There are so many products out there but I am sure that if you go with a reputable name brand that is in the business of car care, you can't go wrong. I will probably try different products over the course of time.
Everyone uses something different... you have to find what works best for you and your rides paint...
For me, Obsessive Detail Wet Wax and Hyper Shine Sealant and Poor Boys Trim Restorer, Turtle Wax polish (using it up then going for Obsessive Detail or Poor Boys polish - my car never looked so hot...

I've tried Mothers, Meguires and Zaino. i prefer Zaino, since it does not leave any white residue. the process with Zaino is long, but when all is done, it's worth it. Am trying the Turtle Ice, tried the detailer this weekend, did a good job, till Mother Nature decided to rain on Ky for 3 damn days....tempted to try the wax/polish next.
Car care products are as much a matter of preference as anything. I generally use Meguiar's Gold wash, NXT wax, and leather conditioner. I have yet to find a tire dressing I really like, although I have used Black Magic the past two or three washes.
+1 on the microfiber - just make sure you buy decent quality.
