Question Perma Plate paintguard

anyone ever use it??? It is a polish that was given to me by my FORD dealership. They use it exclusively, when they detail a car or truck. It was on my 'stang, before I claye bricked it, and it was extremely smooth.

Just wanted other opinions.

This was probably a sample or maintenance bottle as part of their paint protection plan that you may or may not have paid extra for.

Usually if you pay extra, it's a big money maker for the finance department -- hundreds of dollars for basically a bottle of wax and maybe some fabric protection. Problem is, usually the guy "installing" it also installs spiderwebbing on the paint, if they weren't there already.

But I digress... usually you're just as good off -- if not better off -- using a quality wax.

Default Stang19

Hi - I'm new to this site. I've got two Mustangs: a basic V6 2004 and a new 2008 GT Premium.

Default Permaplate

My dealership automatically puts the initial Perma Plate application on all their new cars and then only charges you if you elect to take the continuing service (i.e. the renewer). Now I've owned Camaros, Corvettes, Datsuns and Porsches and I have used dozens of waxes BUT I have never found anything as good as Perma Plate. My 2004 Mustang still looks brand new. My wife's Honda sat in the same driveway for three years and was NOT protected by Perma Plate and the finish was terrible after 3 yrs of normal waxes (i.e. top of the line) while my Mustang is smooth with a luster on the finish that can't be beat. I have an appointment to have my new Mustang Perma Plated tomorrow - well worth the investment.
