Most stores sell the kit only -- it's best to use the lubricant they recommend, and it's nice to have extra bottles for the trunk in case birds are flying overhead.
Wal-Mart has the best price I've seen on the Mothers kit -- I haven't seen a bar-only kit there.
I got mine at Autozone. It's a Mother's kit with the lubricant and claybar. Not too expensive I seem to recall.

I went to autozone today, and saw the clay magic bar and solution
for $9.99. Thats an aweaome deal. we use to pay $ 18.00 from
the detail supply just a few years ago. The clay magic brand works great.

I had bought the Mothers clay bar kit, and used it. I was REALLY impressed with the look, and the feel f the finish when done. Impressed enough, that I did my F-150 XLT Super Crew as well.
I just wanted to buy a bar from the local store. For that price of just the bar, I can buy 2-3 kits, and have the lube, and some of the polish left over !!!!!
