Default What color should I paint it

Got a 91 gt with red interior. Kind of limited on colors to paint outside. Right now it is burgundy with silver bottom. What colors would look good. Going to get it painted at maaco just b/c it needs paint. Not trying to spend too much money. Any suggestions.

Paint the car white. White hides small imperfections in the paint and is probably cheaper, it will also look great with red interior. Also as a tip for maaco, wet sand the car with 600 grit paper yourself. You will have to do some work but the job will look much better and will also save you money.

Silver is also a nice choice for red interiors.

In the wise words of Henry Ford.

"You can have it in any color, so long as it's black."

Black and white are both easier to hide small blemishes with, and they still look good. Silver looks good too, especially in metalflake, just a little harder to hide small blemishes or imperfections.

I agree with the colors stated. I think that white would be your best bet. Mine is white with red interior and looks really sharp. Good luck with the paint job.

White is the most forgiving color.
Stays cleaner longer and hides a lot of flaws in the body.

Black is awesome to look at... but also the hardest to keep clean.
Unless you have a flawless platform, black shows every flaw!

If it was my car, I would just repaint the car with a fresh
version of the old color, unless you want burgundy in the
engine compartment, door jambs and inside the hatch area...

Something to think about, since a complete color change
would also carry into those areas to look decent!
