open in paint.
go to imige ( at the top )
sketch skew
where the horz and verts are set at 100% change them to like 80%

save it.
see if it works
if not
do it over

usually i just go from 100% to 50% right off the bat and its a good size and uploads to most servers

If you want good Free picture editing software go to Irfanview.com and download their stuff. It's easy and you can type in the number of pixels you want.

Default How to reduce image sizes on a Mac (pictures in classifieds)

Hi all

trying to sell two mustangs a 289 1968 and a 390 1967 finally found the classifieds(I was looking for a sale section..doh) and typed it all in pressed upload and it went for a while and stopped and gave no info.

I am guessing it's because my pics were to big but i've just bought a mac and am still learning

so any advice on how to resize pics on a mac to get them the right size for classifeds would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Hi!

A little trick on Macs... email them to yourself and click on the "Actual Size" bar - and change to "small" or "medium"... once you receive the new email... download those pics to a folder on your desktop and use those... that's with very basic software... see pic below...

I happen to have photoshop on 1 mac and free "paintbrush" on another... I don't think the program preview lets you resize images, although you can crop..... but I could be wrong!

If you need help - I'll be happy to resize them for you - email me!

OK, figured it out this AM in the program on the Mac called "Preview" doing something for a friend... Open your photo in preview... click on "Save As" and click ".jpg" - you'll see a slider bar to make the image quality worst/med/best... slide it to medium... and save - you should be ready to rock n roll...

You got it, lady. Sometimes mac functions are so subtle and simple, we don't even notice them when we flash by them a thousand times.
