ok, somebody has been messing with the smileys, which is ok having alot more on the post page. however, i had my cool smiley in my sig and i just tried to get it back and it says smileys are turned off to the signatures. was this just overlooked or have smileys been banned

it says smilies are on for the posting rules, but the [IMG] code is off... which I wish it wasn't, that's an easy way to post pics up... but nooo I can't.
if your referring to the sigs, on the collective they allow people to put full size pics in the signitures which i dont really like having to scroll through everyones pic on every post. it is kinda enoying. but the manage photos is nice on here, up to 10 pics per post right from your computer, vs having to use photo bucket or something. i like that, i think the collective only has 4 pics per post. this is the best set up forum ive seen. thanks to the folks running this site and putting in all the work.
i can live without my smiley in my sig, but maybe that feature just got overlooked?

They've been working with the smilies, yes. It's probably connected to that. I'm sure you can put it back in.
I tested with my sign line... doesn't work - I've asked tech what's up... let's wait for their reply. I'd turn it back on, but it may have been turned off for a reason...
OOPS - now it works... try it again Mike and let us know if you still have the problem!

I understand, I really do - but this is the thing... if you post a thread with images linked to photobucket, picassa, snapfish, etc - and you move those images - the intent of the thread is now gone... and pretty much useless...

ya, thats exactly why i like our pic manager and dont like that photo bucket stuff. ive seen other forums that had writeups with pics, only now all the pics are gone...not too cool... this site has the best setup by far. thanks for looking into the sig, i`ll try it again.

Regarding the smileys in your post I am not aware of this being disabled but I know the guys did add new smileys on Monday so I will try and find out what happened.
Testing smileys in Signature .... seems to work for me
The reason your smilies are not working is because you are behind on your smilie tax payment.

OK Mike... I logged into your "set up" profile yesterday and found an unusual error - I have contacted tech to see what they have to say. I am not sure this is the cause, but it just may be!
