Is there a way I can block specific users so I do not see their posts/comments/etc when I read AFM?

Try clicking on the person's profile and then selecting the "Ignore" button under Friends and Buddies on the right of the page.

Click on their profile, then look over to the right and you'll see the "block" icon and go from there. Hope you're not getting harassed or anything...
