well im waiting to see how much i get from my tax return...then i plan on doing the swap. I was going to buy the swap kit from parkway ford in georgia....1300 bones. but it seems to be a pretty unbolt, then bolt on new stuff kinda job. then i was going to get it tuned.
I have some pretty knowledgable friend so i think we're going to try to tackle it over a weekend once i get everything i need...cause i want to do headers also while ive got the top motor off.
Its just a money thing.
Im also wondering if a port and polish on the "04 heads is worth it in addition. What do you think?

ya but make sure you trust the person doing it. If you dont know anyone to port and polish your heads cornetts in somerset does good with that stuff. Make sure you have the intake gaskets since you should go ahead and replace them. The main thing is hooking your vacume lines up again. i've done some of that kind of stuff before so if you would like one day over the week end it happens i could make a trip up there and help out.
cool! sounds good. ill have to keep cornetts in mind for that job. yeah, ive head that the vacuum lines have to be T'd together because the new head are different in that aspect. The place where im planning on buying the parts from sell the entire kit: heads (assembled) manifold, gaskets, bolts, spark plugs etc.
Im definitely going to try out that dyno day to get some numbers before i do this swap and then go back to see the power gains that i have achieved.

sweet dude, yeah im pumped about the dyno day. Im in a group at UK that is building a formula car (SAE). Once the new vehicle is in testing form, they also are going to SR racing to dyno tune the car. Pretty sweet.
