Open Trac Event @ Nashville Superspeedway May 27-28

Music City Mustang Club is holding their open track road race event on Memorial Day weekend May 27-28 at the Nashville Superspeedway. This event is open to all makes and models of vehicles. Registration forms can be found at musiccitymustangclub.org or on the Speedway website. Deadline is May 15 for registration so sign up and come join the fun :thumbsup

Holy crap that sounds great. Now I wonder if my dad will let me borrow his 03 S/C Saleen that weekend?????

I've driven both cars and I dont think it would be much of a match. The Saleen is supercharged and also has the brake upgrade, not to mention the wide ass tires it has vs. my elcheapo's.

IT would be a match; just have to come down to who is the better driver. I done the Phil Wicks school last week and overtook one of my friends that was driving a 97 Mustang Cobra in of all things an '05 V-6!!!! She was a conservative driver and I tend to get up on the wheel and run it hard til I pass then cool it but it was fun to watch and learn. Saleen may have the supercharger but as tight as the track is it's nulled by the turns and short straights. Be surprised on how well your GT may do compared to it

My dad has had his fair share of bad a$$ cars in his time. Too many to post here. And I'm pretty sure he'd woop my a$$ anywhere we race. Now if I had a Rouch or a Steeda car I'd race him for sure, but my stock GT does'nt stand a chance.

I think your just tryin to get me to bring both cars, arent ya

. Even if the Saleen wasnt supercharged I couldnt beat it, the Saleen handles like it's on rails with the modified suspension, and it brakes like you wouldnt belive with the Saleen brake upgrade.

It is true a Saleen handles and brakes good, but you forgot one aspect on why the Saleen needs all that; WEIGHT. My stock GT wighs less than a comparable Saleen or Roush even though I have Subframe connectors and upgraded brakes (same size as stock). With GOOD driving and a GOOD setup a stock GT WILL and CAN handle with a Saleen. And yes I'm tryin to get you to bring both cars (jokingly).
