Hey, I finally made it to Kentucky. I've been here for a few months, been pretty busy. I'm in Radcliff now, too bad my car is back home in Maine. Only going to be here until the end of the year so can't really justify bringing it here.

does anyone go to the track on 31W going towards L'ville? I've noticed it driving that way and wondering if anyone races there, or just spectates. Probably gonna take the kids when it gets warmer.

I'm in Lexington Ky and would like to get together.

Since this thread is on Ky and some folks here are in Lexington I'll throw this out too......

Really still looking for someone experienced with a clean shop in the area to take out my 5.0 in an automatic 1991 LX and drop a fresh rebuild that I've got my eye on in it for about $1,000. Plus in addition need to upgrade the radiator, upgrade injectors to 24 LB, Headers & exhaust & 4.10 gear.

I'd love to have the current engine in it rebuilt but can't seem to see how to get 300hp for less than I can buy one already rebuilt and ready to go.

If anyone that lives in or around Lexington in this thread can help just PM me and I'll give you my contact info.

That is Ohio Valley. I was there last weekend. It's only an 1/8th mile track, so I go to Beech Bend in Bowling Green......

shinerstang, thank you very much for letting me know but I had posted sometime yesterday after this post in the tech section that I had a local shop to do it.

They are ASE certified so the installation won't void the motors warranty, their close by and giving a fair price for the job so I'm pretty excited right now

, just hoping everything comes together.

I go to the shop at 9am in the morning friday march 27th to make a deposit & drop the car off so they can begin the work. The engine will be delivered on or before the 6th and I should have the car back no later than the 8th of April.

Dry Ridge, KY here.. I own an 07 VB GT, I bought it January 07 brand new and it currently has 11,000 miles on it

I have added a few mods since and just recently ordered some prepainted roush parts.

Drag raced motorcycles (IDBA) there back in the late 70's while stationed at FT. K. Ran modified class (Suzuki 750) then upped it to super modified. Was sponsored by Suzuki of Radcliff. Owner at the time owned it and the Harley shop. We raced almost every weekend there. Ran at Beech Bend a few times and down in Biloxi, MS for the world finals in IDBA. That track was very popular in the 70's for IDBA. That was back when Terry Vance of Vance and Hines was top dog in Pro Stock Motorcycles. Have many memories of that track and the people I got to meet. RC Engineering up in Louisville, owned by Russ Collins, one of the first to set up a dual engine drag bike. That was also the time when they had the funny bike class, talk about wicked!!!

Check out our local club, www.derbycitymustangclub.com. We meet once a month at Collins Ford, have cruises once a month and are always having day trips. Also we have a large show every Sept. at General Butler State Park.
