This will be the third year that the Southern Performance Ford Club has hosted the Annual Ford Day Show & Race at Mooresville Dragway. We have worked hard to improve our show each year and our goal is to present the very best event in the Southeast for Ford enthusiasts.
This year’s feature attraction will be famed Mustang racer Billy Glidden taking on some of the best Super Street Outlaw drivers from the mid-west & southeast regions of the country, all vying for the $5.000 winner’s share. We have Chad Hardison of the mid-west based Outlaw Street Car Association coming in to help run the Outlaw race. We have also added a $1,500 to win Real Street race and have increased the race purses for our Top Eliminator & Sportsman bracket classes in order to attract more Ford racers. Both the Outlaw & Real Street heads-up races are open to all makes while all other races are “Ford only”.
Our event also includes a Top 50 judged car show for all Ford/Mercury vehicles, the Custom Performance “Mustang Shootout”, street stock trophy dash bracket race, Wix Top Dragster rides, and vendor/swap area.
