I have gotten my project car. Initially I wasn't going to get it but the scarcity of 5.0 notches prompted me to get it. My friend from high school bought the car back in the early 90's. She is an 89 notch, 5.0, 5 speed with a fair amount of goodies. Back in that era I had a 90 Gt with similar mods. I could never beat his lighter coupe unless he missed a shift, but there was more to it than that. He seems to have gotten a factory freak. the car regularly beat cars it shouldn't have beaten. I rode with him on several occassions taking out Grand Nationals and Vettes as well as hotter built stangs. Well now it's mine. I made a trip out to the mustang salvage yards and came back with a pile of parts. I installed about half of them yesterday and am pleased with the progress. Hopefully I can restore it to former glory with time and $$$$. Despite the fact my mod motored Cobra will stomp it now, I'm still sentimental for the 5.0 roller motor. Anyway, my buddy always referred to the car as "Ghost in the Machine" because of it's unexplained stoutness (and white paint) hence, project "Ghost in the Machine" begins. Wish me Luck:thumbsup
