Default WARNING! Xtreme Auto - Lewisville, TX

I thought I would give you guys a heads up on the poor work and service done on my 97 Cobra:

Here is my filed complaint with the BBB:

I purchase window tint install on 12/23/07. First issue occurred when the passenger side window peeled up from bottom, install tech cut off small bottom section instead of replacing the entire window tint. 3 days later same window peeled up, Xtreme replaced window tint. 9 days later driver's side quarter window, back window and passenger side window all peeling up. Owner refused to refund money and replaced all windows. 1 week later the passenger side window peeling again from the far back edge. Customer is advertising Llumar film and it is clearly not llumar film quality. After a month and a half of the driver’s side film being installed, the film was removed by hand and no glue residue remained on the window. Owner hung up on me when I called to complain and asked for a refund a second time.

Company Address: 413 E Round Grove Rd, Lewisville, TX ‎

Owner: Mr. Langley

Just my experience, you can decide for yourself.

Hiya, welcome to the site.
That's a bummer that happened, I don't blame you for calling the BBB.

Hopefully the BBB can help you out. But I doubt it.

Hmmm. First post is a complaint...

We are getting ONE side of the story here.

Nothing is ever perfect....bad run of tint? Even the cheapest stuff today is better than the BEST stuff was 10 years ago.

Maybe ONE guy screwed it up and the owner did not know?

Demanding the replacement of ALL windows?

Threaten them with the BBB or legal action is a GIANT turnoff for correcting the problem.

Something smells.

Oh yeah I would be wanting my money back as well. I hate problems like that. It is such a small thing but it one that everyone can see. And that really ticks me off.

That really sucks to hear about your bad luck w/ the tint job. Even if something was screwed up by the customer, it doesnt matter, the customer is always right, if you want a great tint job in which we stand behind our product, come down to DFW Camper Corral we have 4 locations in the DFW area, here is our website DFW Camper Corral "The Truck Accessory Store", give us a call or come by if you havent gotten your tint redone.
thanks, Ryan

Hello everyone yeah dont bring anything to this place. I brought some high end ting film to them. They said they could install it with no stars or air pockets. I get it back every window is messed up. They redo it waisting more of my expensive tint. couldnt get it right this time either. They also "tried" to install my stereo. They hook everything off one high low converter putting all the speakers on one channle and not telling me that everything is being ran off one channle. i get it back try and tune the next day and the rear speakers are blown. i bring it back they say they are not responsible for used items. I had just pulled the speakers out of my old car the previous day. They worked fine then. So i got to bring it to car toys to get everything working right. I am now filing reports with the BBB and filing charges with the justice of the peace to bring them to small claims court. I am astonished that such a crappy company could be on a good part of town.

unfortunately, sometimes companies like this survive (for a time) by cruddy craftsmanship and "hard handling" the customer... but ultimately, bad word of mouth will get them in the end... even in the metroplex area. good luck guys with the BBB... sometimes they can help, but usually only with guys that care about their reputation/customer satisfaction...
