[Dash Riprock]

I want to lower the stock suspension of my 2004 GT, but I dont want to spend a whole lot of money. Is there anyone out there that knows an inexpensive mechanic to help me with this. Dallas Mustang wants like $140 for labor and another $250 for springs and bushings. I was just hoping there was a cheaper solution...and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I met a Mustang owner while getting gas, his car was lowered and he told me that he used something called a "spring compressor". I'm not sure if he meant that he was able to use the stock springs or not, but he did say that he was able to do the work himself and it saved him a lot of money.

As long as it doesn't have a significantly negative effect on ride quality, I'd go whichever route was the cheapest. However, I guess paying Dallas Mustang $400 to do the work is not THAT expensive.

Still looking for advice, though.
