Anyone in the DFW (Dallas Fort-Worth) are care to try and have a little get together. Yellow Belly is rumored to be a bit wild, but I think as long as the weather is a still a bit cool the crazies will be staying inside.
If anyone is interested and we can alt least 10 or more It i
might turn out to be a pretty good time.
If we could get enough people and chip in we might could get them to do a kind of private day .

Yellow Belly is a 1/8 mile drag strip down in Irving. If you are heading west on Loop 12 you will go under I-30 the next exit is where you will get off. I can't remember the name of of the street but you can't miss it. Call the number and it gives great directions.
Its very laid back, IF we can only get a small group we can do some grilling. I see a lot of people with ice chests in their trunks, I can only assume that its cokes........lol. Like I said it's very laid back. I'm somewhat of the mind that drinking and racing don't mix, but after the racing (myself) I am not against having a brew and some Bar-B-Que and watch the Big Dogs run, and believe me there are some Big Dogs that show up This place was built in a field. The track is on the left third of the field, return road somewhat skirts the field. There's large grass areas where we could park and kind of set up camp.
Gate fee is $8, to race is $6 more. Very resonable. There is a
covered area if the sun is too hot!
As for a time what ever eis good for you guys let me know what's good for you. Here's the pit laws, no one under 18 (or without a pit pass wrist band) can go in the pitts. I get jake in (he'll be 16 in June, but big for his age) buy getting another pitt pass.
So bring your little buddies and there are Great places to watch from. I see lots of future racers out there watching Dad run.
Let me know when. My vote is for sometimearound the first of April.
