Dallas Mustang - feedback on them for axle-back installs.
Fellow Mustangers,
I have an '07 CS/GT and after waiting what seems an eternity....I'm shopping around to get some axle-backs installed.
I've done my homework, shopped around, listened to sounds clips, heard the real thing....and I know I want the FRPP M-5230 "GTAs". Quoted around $395 installed by Dallas Mustang. Seems reasonable.
Question out there for all of you... Has anyone had some work done by Dallas Mustang? Especially since many of you out there may have had them install axle-backs (or other work). I'd like to get your feedback. On this forum, in searching the threads on the GTAs, some of them have had to have some slight twisting/bending, loosening h-pipes, etc. to get them to fit/align properly. I want these mufflers, but want them to function and look right! Can Dallas Mustang get-r-done.......
Any feedback, advice, would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback. Snapshot -- I'm in the Dallas Mustang showroom, technician comes out (mumbles something to manager), who then says "get it off the wall/showroom." Technician grabs off showroom wall the passenger side GTA....Ok.......??
Car is pulled around. GTAs look "ok," manager indicates the FRPP had sent the passenger side with "no hangars on it?" (BTW, I'm sure they got them from ninosport LOL). Good thing they had one in showroom. Installation was ok, but I had a friend on this forum (PegasusStang) help me align them perfectly.
If you're in the DFW area, (I think you're in richardson), there is a shop "Pronto Mufflers" near 75 and 15th street. I recommend them highly. They were recommended to me by Bankston Ford in Frisco who does all of my families business (we all drive fords).... Pronto Muffler does all the exhaust customizations for them. You should try them and let me know how it goes..... it doesn't look like much from the outside, but they do VERY good work....

Excellent. Keep us posted on Pronto. They are a Flowmasters and Borla dealer (if memory serves me), no FRPP, but they do great work. (Of course, they want you to buy their products - that's understandable.)
I'm thinking about ordering a FRPP X-pipe and having them 'weld' that baby on...we'll see....just don't know about cutting into my '07......and warranty issues as well......be patient, got to be patient.....LOL

I don't know about Dallas Mustang's work, but I was sure disappointed in there showroom. The catalog led me to believe they had a showroom. I want to look at parts in a showroom. Hence the name.

Yes, it is small isn't it. Seems to be some turnover there too with staff. Each time I go, it's a different shop manager I'll dealing with.
Haven't decided if I want them to do my CAI + Tune. We'll see....

To Whomever: I had my gears installed at Dallas Mustang and have no complaints. That said I also had my car dyno'd twice at their shop and never did get a satisfactory answer to my questions. When I was there they told me their computer system was down and couldn't print out the dyno sheet for me. Theu assured me they would email or snail mail me a copy the next day. That's been four months ago and I've called them a dozen times and spoken to everyone who would listen to me but as yet I have no dyno sheel for the second run and I've given up on them. They do have a lot of turnover there and there seem to be some problems that they haven't or won't address.

Interesting. Thanks for the feedback. Buyer beware. When I go there, I'n not impressed. I am starting to here good things about heritage customs They do all the mod work for the local Ford Dealerships in my area. (They're in Arlington, Tx.) Expensive, but their work speaks for itself....
