Default 1995 Mustang GT, lowering question

Hi Ya all

I was thinking of getting this lowering spring kit it claims to lower the car 1 & 1/4 front and rear:
Tokico HP Suspension Kit - For 94-98 Mustang V8 - StangSuspension.com

I really want to correct the stock rake of the car it seems like the rear is 1/4 to 1/2 inch higher in the rear. I looked high and low for springs that would lower it say 1.00 inch in the front and 1 & 1/4 rear but i couldent find them for my year.

So I was looking at this ball joint kit one day:
Steeda X2 Ball joints - For 94-04 Mustangs - StangSuspension.com

And I seen them two metal rings I guess they are spacer rings to bring the car back up to the correct hight after installing the longer ball joints..

Sooo that got me thinking can I just install metal rings or thicker poly spring isolators to the front bottom of the spring to raise the front say 1/8 to 1/4 inch?
Agian I searched for just the extra thick poly spring isolators and the metal rings and cant find anything so the questions are:

What do ya think of this idea of adding a 1/4 spacer of some kind to the front? metal or poly

Have you seen springs that lower a 95 more in the rear than the front say, 1/4 inch. With a max overall of 1.75 inches. 1 to 1 & 1/4 is what im looking for.

And last has anyone had the Tokio HP Springs and/or Shocks/Struts
How did you like the ride? What was the ride like?

Thanks ya all
Keep on cruzin
,Matt

Well Urethane isolators do lift the car back up again, about 1/4 of an inch. So installing urethane in the front only, but keeping the OEM rubber isolators in the rear will get you close to what you're looking for.

Tokico does not release their spring rates, but I can tell you they are a nice street spring. Not too stiff, not too soft.

1/4" think your being a lil nit picky? Just remove the isolator from the rear. Maybe a lil noisey though. I have had best luck with eibach. just the sportman kit. looks nice on my 95 but i got a conv. so i got a lil more drop than hard tops.

What I did was I just cut a coil and a half off each spring with a cut off tool, and it lowered it very nicely! It is a little lower in the front than in the back, but it gives the car a tough stance for my 95.

Nitt picky haha, No..
Maybe the rear is as much as 1 inch higher I havent measure it yet.
I was thinking any correction of 1/4 inch or more would be a step in the right direction. It seems like the lower the car is in the rear the more weight transfer so better launch. I dont want it to sag in the rear just close to level. Adjustable rear lower control arms is another consideration but that is ...I dont know $400 bux.

Cutting them does sound sweet... but I also would like a stiffer spring.

Not all arms are that expensive. We have affordable options...

StangSuspension.com Adjustable Street Lower Control Arms - For 79-98 Mustangs - StangSuspension.com

Our arms lower about an inch under regular control arm height, or about 2 inches above.

At 1.25 inches, you will probably get by without requiring CC plates to correct alignment.
